What is a glaze?[Top]

We apply glazes for several different purposes. A glaze can be a great way to refresh your color in between your regular color appointments. We also apply glazes prior to highlighting hair to give the highlights a certain desired tonality. Glazes are also fantastic for natural heads of hair to play up natural tones or to enrich the natural tones in the hair. No matter what the purpose of glazing you can expect to see added shine to your hair and can expect the life of a glaze to be around 2 weeks depending on your hair type.

Help! I have colored my hair from home and am very unhappy with the color. Can you fix my color?[Top]

We take pride in doing corrective colors while keeping the integrity of the hair. With this in mind we usually tell our corrective color clients to expect the change to take place over several visits to the salon. This prevents excessive breakage and damage to the hair shaft. Typically during your first visit we are able to get the tonality of the hair to a manageable color and then work to achieve the desired end result over time. Consultations are always recommended for corrective colors.

What are your wedding policies?[Top]

We do require that all wedding parties pay a down payment at the time of booking the wedding. If you are a client of the salon we require 50% down. If you are not a client of the salon we require the full amount to be paid at the time of booking. You may cancel before 48 hrs of the appointments and receive a full refund. If you cancel within 48 hours from the appointment you will not receive a refund.

Do I wash my hair before getting an updo?[Top]

Freshly washed hair typically does not style as well as day old hair. We recommend that you wash your hair the day before your event. If your hair tends to be greasy your stylist can use dry shampoo in your hair at the time of service.

How do I determine the best kind of extensions to fit my needs?[Top]

We offer free consultations that can help determine what will work best for your needs and lifestyle. This is also a great time to color-match the extensions to your hair and to determine if any coloring is necessary.

Are extensions damaging to my natural hair?[Top]

Clip in and micro bead extensions are not damaging with proper installation and maintenance. Clip in extensions are meant to be taken in and out and not slept in overnight. Micro bead extensions are applied by a stylist in the salon. They are not applied with heat or glue, rather a bead that clamps them to your hair. With proper maintenance from you at home and the recommended in salon maintenance you should not see any damage to the hair.

Maintenance depends on your hair type and how fast it grows. Fill in extension work may be needed anywhere from every 2-6 weeks. For optimum hair and extension health we recommend having your extensions taken out and reapplied every 3-4 months. You can do with extensions mostly anything you did with your natural hair, just with more care. A sulfate free shampoo and conditioner is recommended. Chlorine and other harsh chemicals can loosen and make your extensions slip.

Are hair extensions painful?[Top]

They should not cause you any pain. You may experience some slight discomfort the first couple of days while you adjust to the attachment and weight of the new hair.

Will my extensions be noticeable?[Top]

The placement of the extensions when attached is done so that they cannot be detected in the hair. Also, the beads will be matched to the color of your hair and the extensions.

Results will vary with each person but you can expect to get 3-6 months from the treatment.

I have color treated hair, am I able to get a keratin treatment?[Top]

Yes, you can! In most cases hair can be colored before the keratin treatment. This allows the treatment to help seal the color into the hair

Can I wash my hair after the treatment?[Top]

You may not wash your hair until 72 hours after the treatment, this also includes swimming. Be sure to only use sulfate free shampoos and conditioners on your hair when you have a keratin treatment.

How long will my extensions last?[Top]

Every 6 weeks (depending on your hair growth), the hair will need to be taken out, re-taped, and re-applied to eliminate tangling and frizzing.
The factory recommends re-applying 3 times for a total of about 8 months, but you may get more use if the extension bond remains seamless.

Can I curl or flat-iron my extensions?[Top]

Yes! The hair is 100% cuticle on Remy Human Hair. The cuticle is intact facing the same direction, which means no matting or tangling.

Cancellation Policy[Top]

Tonique’s Trilogy has recently implemented a cancellation policy due to an excess of appointments being rescheduled or canceled with less than 24 hours notice. Please understand that when you forget to call or cancel your appointment without giving enough notice, we miss the opportunity to fill that appointment time, and clients on our waiting list miss the opportunity to receive services. We understand that circumstances arise that may prohibit a client from honoring their appointments, therefore this policy does not apply until a client has failed to give at least 24 hours notice for three appointments. Following the third canceled or rescheduled appointment, the client will respectfully be asked to use a credit card to make a deposit of 50% of their service total. Please note that this deposit is not an additional charge. If you keep your appointment after paying your deposit, the deposit amount will be applied to your services at that time. However, if you do not keep your appointment, the deposit is nonrefundable. We will always inform a client before charging any amount to his or her card.
